Firestone Tire Performance Recap: As in the past at Iowa, Firestone Racing used a combination of tires using compounds nearly identical to those run at Texas on one side of the car and those run at the Indy 500 on the other. The tires performed well throughout the race and provided consistent performance. Race winner James Hinchcliffe led 226 of the 250 laps and moved into fourth place in the championship standings.

Also, Sage Karam of Schmidt Peterson Motorsports took the lead on the 57th lap and drove to victory in the Sukup 100, for his second Firestone Indy Lights win in as many races. The win moved him into first place in the championship standings.
