8 – Consecutive races led by Newgarden.

11 – Positions gained by Charlie Kimball in the race (18th to seventh), most of any driver.

43 – Points separating Newgarden from fourth-place Simon Pagenaud in the Verizon IndyCar Series standings after the Bommarito Automotive Group 500. Newgarden leads Scott Dixon by 31 points and Castroneves by 42 points.
