New 'IndyCar Chronicles' episode follows Indy 500 drama


“IndyCar Chronicles,” the praised behind-the-scenes, documentary-style look at the Verizon IndyCar Series, debuts its newest episode Saturday that features the pageantry and drama of the 100th Running of the Indianapolis 500 presented by PennGrade Motor Oil.

The 30-minute episode airs on NBCSN at 7:30 p.m. ET Saturday, leading directly into the live telecast of the Firestone 600 from Texas Motor Speedway. The “IndyCar Chronicles” Indy 500 episode will re-air immediately following the Firestone 600 broadcast.

The in-depth show highlights rookie Alexander Rossi’s dramatic drive to victory in the 100th running and includes intercom radio transmissions from the Andretti Herta Autosport with Curb-Agajanian pit stand never heard publicly before.

The most recent episode of “IndyCar Chronicles,” featuring Tony Kanaan’s race weekend at Phoenix International Raceway in April, airs 1:30 p.m. ET today on NBCSN, immediately following live coverage of the opening practice at Texas Motor Speedway.
