INDYCAR’s “Fast Six” is a report derived from all things found online about Verizon IndyCar Series racing, its drivers and people. We seek and find pics and quips as INDYCAR drivers live their extraordinary lives and put the evidence into tweets, Instagrams and more. Check back regularly when we post the latest.
A little help from his friends
Social media posts were almost as loud as the cheers coming from the “Dancing with the Stars” watch party Monday in Indianapolis. Verizon IndyCar Series fans and drivers gathered at Forty Five Degrees Monday in support of James Hinchcliffe’s quest for the show’s mirror ball trophy and were giddy when he made it to next week’s finals.

A little more help from his friends
Meanwhile, In Los Angeles, fellow INDYCAR driver Helio Castroneves, who won the mirror ball trophy with now-judge Julianne Hough in 2007, looked to be having a great time on the set.

Don’t stop ‘til you get enough
Even after Season 23 ends next week and, with luck, Hinchcliffe and partner Sharna Burgess take the winner’s trophy, some don’t want it to end.
RTV6 sports director Dave Furst, who helps host the Indianapolis watch parties, had an idea that got some traction from a tweet by Tony Kanaan’s wife, Lauren.
If this isn't @Hinchtown's pre-race introduction for every @IndyCar Series race in 2017, something's wrong. @SPMIndyCar #DWTS @SharnaBurgess pic.twitter.com/zmq57nsl1i
Third time’s a charm
After seeing Hinchcliffe tripping the light fantastic with not one, but two professional dancers on Monday, Verizon IndyCar Series driver and newly named AJ Foyt Racing pilot Conor Daly is apparently ready to sign up for Season 24.
Who is this guy? Hand stands on chairs? He could barely cook a pizza when I knew him. @Hinchtown #DWTS #TeamStopAndGo
Going full throttle
While INDYCAR’s collective gaze was on ABC’s “Dancing with the Stars” on Monday, NHRA fans were focused their season awards ceremony, where Rahal Letterman Lanigan Racing driver Graham Rahal escorted his wife, Funny Car star Courtney Force.
Such an incredible night last night w/ my husband @GrahamRahal & @TraxxasRacing team, celebrating a hard fought season. Can't wait for 2017! https://t.co/C9IWP3fDC2

Andretti-Herta Autosport driver Alexander Rossi also paid tribute to Ron Capps – a longtime friend, fellow Californian and fellow NAPA-sponsored driver. Capps won the Funny Car championship after finishing runner-up four times in his career.

Many of INDYCAR’s drivers observed Veteran’s Day online last week by sending out messages of respect and support for the United States armed forces. This one from JR Hildebrand typified the sentiment.
Meeting men and women in uniform has always lent great perspective for me. THANK YOU for all that you do for us! #VeteransDay pic.twitter.com/Q2Pors88hP
